Coliving Italy
The way we work is changing, and more of us than ever have the opportunity to ditch the commute and work from home. But why not work from a creative place in the sunshine, with great food and drink and good internet access to help you stay in touch? Maybe you’d like to start the day with an early morning run or yoga session? Or clock off after work with some homemade pasta washed down with a bottle of local wine?

Il Fornello - the property
Il Fornello is an old terracotta factory and for many years it was home for farmers attending the land for landowners in Rome. In recent history it has been a bed and breakfast and since 2022 it has been turned into a Coliving space for an international community. In the complex there is nine apartments, a Co-working area in the old (and amazing) restaurant, a bar, an outdoor kitchen with a pizza oven and a pool area. There is room to interact and network but also for rest and privacy. (More images here)

What is Coliving?
Coliving is a community living and working concept where you rent a room or an apartment for weeks or even months, and take your work with you from anywhere in the world. The pandemic has been tough on us all, but it has also shown employers that working away from the office isn’t just possible - it can actually be more productive! The traditional model of travel to work at an office has already changed forever.
At Il Fornello we provide apartments and creative environments in beautiful Umbria that borders Tuscany. Here you’ll experience a sense of tranquility and focus just a few kilometers from picturesque towns, charming restaurants and local vineyards. We are located in the stunning rolling Italian countryside, with no neighbours close by, yet remain connected to everything around us. Lake Trasimeno is only 20 minutes away, Florence within an hour’s reach by car, 45 minutes to Siena and 30 minutes to Perugia. Rome is just a 2-hour train journey away.
